The WorkSmart Career Showcase is a single student exhibition where learners demonstrate career readiness through a portfolio, documented experience, and professional presentation.
It replaces traditional final exams with one clear, structured outcome that districts can document and defend.
STUDENT INCENTIVES & WORKFORCE CONNECTIONS
The WorkSmart Career Showcase includes tiered exhibition opportunities.
Students begin at the school-level Showcase.
Selected participants may advance to county and regional exhibitions, where higher-level incentives and recognition are available, including scholarships, internships, job opportunities, and career-related prizes
Annual district licensing provides a fully assembled, ready-to-run system, including:
1. Access to the Showcase curriculum
2. Standards-aligned instructional materials for teachers and students
3. Pre-aligned documentation that meets B2C, CCR, and Smart Start requirements
4. Built-in portfolio and exhibition evidence for audit support
5. Implementation guidance and professional development for teachers, counselors, and administrators
6. On-site support visits, career consultations, local networking, and year-round phone/email assistance
7. SpotLights: Career Builders student-facing career newsletters
8. WorkSmart Career Club participation for grades 7–12
9. Student eligibility for Showcase incentives may include Internships, Scholarships, career opportunities, and career-related packets and prizes.
10. Progression opportunities from school-level Showcases to county and regional exhibitions
11. A single, consistent system that reduces teacher workload and district audit risk
The program may be used as a stand-alone course or embedded within Bridge-to-Career (B2C), College & Career Readiness (CCR), or Smart Start.
The Showcase requirements are the same as the course requirements for Bridge-to-Career (B2C), College & Career Readiness (CCR), and Smart Start.
Students complete one Showcase, and credit is applied based on the course in which they are enrolled.
